SunnySide Car Service

Messaging Terms

Effective date: September 18, 2026

1. The two programs

SunnySide Car Service runs two separate text message programs. They are registered separately, you opt in to them separately, and agreeing to one does not sign you up for the other.

Ride updates

Booking confirmations, the driver and vehicle assigned to you, driver on the way and arrival notices, changes or delays, receipts, and replies when you text us back. These messages relate to a trip you have booked.

Offers and promotions

Discounts, seasonal offers, and announcements from SunnySide Car Service. This program is marketing. It is completely optional, it is not required to book a ride, and it is not part of the ride updates above.

Neither program is a bought list. We do not buy phone numbers and we do not text people who have not asked us to.

2. How you opt in

Each program needs its own yes, given either on the phone or on this website.

By phone, when you book

Most of our bookings are made by phone. The dispatcher asks the two questions separately and records each answer.

For ride updates:

“Would you like text updates about this ride? By saying yes, you agree to receive text messages from SunnySide Car Service at this number about your trip. Message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP at any time to stop, or HELP for help. This is not required to book your ride.”

For offers and promotions, asked separately:

“Separately, would you like to receive occasional offers and promotions from SunnySide Car Service by text at this number? This is marketing, it is completely optional, and it is not required to book a ride or to get your ride updates. Message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP at any time to stop, or HELP for help. We will never share your number for anyone else’s marketing.”

Saying no to either question changes nothing about your booking. You can change your mind in either direction on any future call, or by telling any dispatcher.

On this website

The consent box on our forms is the opt-in for offers and promotions. It sits next to the phone number field, it is never pre-checked, and you never have to tick it to submit the form. Ticking it and submitting the form is your opt-in to marketing messages.

3. How often we message

Message frequency varies. Most messages are tied to a trip you have booked, so the number depends on how often you ride with us.

4. What it costs

Message and data rates may apply. Those charges come from your mobile carrier, not from us. We do not charge for text messages.

5. How to stop

Reply STOP to any message from us. You will get one confirmation message and then nothing further. You can also tell any dispatcher on the phone, call 718-507-2600, or email admin@sunnysidecarservice.com, and we will remove you.

Stopping text messages does not affect your ability to book a ride with us by phone.

6. How to get help

Reply HELP to any message, call 718-507-2600, or email admin@sunnysidecarservice.com.

7. Delivery and carriers

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery depends on your mobile carrier and is not guaranteed. Text messaging is not a way to reach us in an emergency; call 718-507-2600, or 911 if it is an emergency.

8. Supported carriers

Major United States carriers are supported, including AT&T, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, and their affiliates and resellers. Support varies by carrier and carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

9. What we do with your number

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors who provide support services on our behalf, such as customer service or message delivery, is permitted solely for that purpose. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

The driver assigned to your trip receives a contact number so they can reach you at pickup. That is part of providing the ride, not marketing, and drivers may not use it for anything else.

Our full Privacy Policy covers everything else we hold.

10. Changes

If these terms change we will post the new version here and update the effective date at the top.
